Columbus Day This N That

It's October 10th - Columbus Day. A day to celebrate the discoveries of the esteemed explorer who... oh enough of that. I was never that great with boring history - except when it's told Sanctuary style, like the episode, "Normandy". Otherwise, Columbus Day usually means a day off work for the government (and lazy worker) type jobs. Sometimes I'd really love to be in a profession where even the lesser-known holidays meant a day off. In my job, both holidays and bad weather mean someone still has to work.

Let's talk about the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. The issue features some great cast reunions - including The Carol Burnett Show, Growing Pains, and NYPD Blue, along with Sigourney Weaver & Company in Aliens.




What's up with the NYPD Blue reunion? Ricky Schroder (they STILL call him Ricky?) didn't work with Jimmy Smits, who didn't work with 'Red' Caruso either. The only thing the three of them have in common is they worked with Dennis Franz. I miss Andy Sipowicz. How could they have a reunion without Kim Delaney or Andrea Thompson? Hell, K-Del was the only reason I watched the show.

I mentioned Sanctuary at the beginning of this post - I finally saw a few pics with spoilers of the anticipated "Magnus kiss". All I'll say is... "You go, girl."

on a final note: I watched a little bit of Brain Games last night on Nat. Geo. It mentioned that a person's brain runs on 12 watts of power. ... I think I need an upgrade.
